Inclusive Skills develops inclusive competences for personal, civic and professional growth, together with practical ways to recognise, communicate and apply them.
I
Inclusive by design
Inclusive means recognising valuable learning wherever it happens and ensuring that different experiences, backgrounds and pathways are treated as sources of capability rather than barriers to recognition.
Inclusive Skills explores how people develop, recognise and communicate competences throughout life. It values learning gained through formal, non-formal and informal experiences, helping individuals and organisations make that learning visible and meaningful.
What this area covers
A great deal of valuable learning happens outside classrooms and certificates. People learn continuously, in education, at work, through volunteering, community action and everyday life. Yet much of that learning remains invisible because it does not fit traditional systems of recognition. This area develops practical ways to identify, describe and communicate competences so they can support further learning, employment and participation.
Who it is for
Educators, trainers, youth workers, career practitioners, employers, learners and anyone interested in recognising learning beyond formal qualifications.
