Acerca de la organización

MFA is a Regional Network composed of grassroots migrant organisations and associations, non-government organisations (NGOs), civil society and faith-based groups, national networks, trade unions, migrant savings groups, cooperatives, research institutions, and advocates, all united in protecting and promoting the rights of migrant workers and their families.

In our shared vision, the Network asserts that migrants’ rights are human rights. We stand in solidarity to advocate for a world grounded in human rights, dignity, social justice, and gender equity. Regardless of documentation status, all migrants are entitled to rights protected by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, Global Compact for Safe, Orderly, and Regular Migration, International Labour Organisation standards, and other relevant instruments.

MFA rejects the promotion of mass labour exports and challenges countries of origin to create sustainable domestic economic opportunities. We hold countries of destination accountable to ensure migrants receive just wages, freedom from exploitation, and the right to organize. We are committed to fostering development – social, political, cultural, economic, and ecological – that prioritises the rights and welfare of migrants.
