Methodology: The YWCA Haiti has a physical center where it hosts two major programs. The Youth Center receives every day 200 girls ages 5 to 18 years old. The Leadership Academy program provides life skills training to 240 young women per year on average and finds opportunities for them to receive training from local technical and vocational schools. IN addition to these two programs, they YH regularly does training activities for parents of participants.
About the organisation
YWCA Haiti is a local nonprofit organization located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. It was founded in 2008 by a group of young professional women who shared a bold vision: to invest their time, skills, and energy in building a more just and equitable future for Haitian women and youth. What began as a commitment to community service has grown into a trusted foundation led by a Board of Directors composed of seven dedicated professional women.
YWCA Haiti is part of the World YWCA, a global movement of more than 25 million women and girls across over 120 countries working to advance justice, peace, health, human dignity, and environmental stewardship.
