About the organisation
SPIN is a youth-centred non-profit organisation based in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, working to create more inclusive, participatory and supportive communities for young people. Our work combines non-formal education, community-based youth work and international cooperation to strengthen young people’s skills, participation and access to opportunities.
SPIN has extensive experience in developing and implementing local and European activities for young people, youth workers and educators. Our programmes address social inclusion, active citizenship, democratic participation, peacebuilding and reconciliation, intercultural dialogue, mental health and healthy lifestyles, digital and media literacy, entrepreneurship, employability and environmental awareness.
A strong focus of our work is reaching young people with fewer opportunities and creating spaces where young people from different backgrounds can meet, learn and participate together. In Mostar, we work directly with young people through local youth activities, peer education, workshops and community initiatives, while also supporting youth workers and organisations through training, educational resources and capacity-building programmes.
SPIN is active in Erasmus+ and other European cooperation initiatives and has experience as both a partner and coordinator of international projects. We develop practical non-formal education methodologies, training programmes, research, digital learning resources and campaigns that can be used by youth workers and organisations beyond individual projects.
