About the organisation

İlk Sen Ol Gençlik Hareketi Derneği (İLKSENOL) is a youth-focused non-governmental organisation based in Sultangazi, Istanbul. We hold both an Erasmus+ KA1 Youth accreditation and an European Solidarity Corps (ESC51) Quality Label with lead, hosting and sending roles, which allow us to coordinate and deliver mobility and volunteering activities as a lead organisation across our thematic priorities.

Building on this foundation, we have been rapidly expanding into larger cooperation and research-driven programmes. We are actively involved in KA2 cooperation partnerships, Horizon Europe research and innovation projects, Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) initiatives and Erasmus+ Sport projects, taking on work-package leadership and partner roles. Recent examples include serving as a work-package lead in Erasmus+ Sport actions and contributing to CoVE and Horizon consortia focused on skills, innovation and vocational excellence.

Our work spans inclusion, skills development, non-formal education, employability and democratic participation. We bring young people, educators and practitioners together through non-formal learning methods, with a particular focus on groups with fewer opportunities. Our thematic priorities include digital skills and safety, sustainability and the SDGs, active citizenship, healthy lifestyles, sport and youth employability. We design workshops, toolkits and open educational resources that partner organisations and educators can adapt to their own communities.

İLKSENOL works with a broad European consortium network across Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Romania, North Macedonia, Spain, Croatia and Poland. We believe inclusion, skills, training, employability and participation belong together, and we contribute our practical delivery experience and youth-centred methods to shared network outputs.
