About the organisation

Our organization, BEKGED, based in Istanbul, is a vibrant newcomer in the field of youth work, committed to supporting and empowering young people. We focus on several key areas to achieve this. We utilize non-formal education methods to help develop civil society and provide valuable opportunities for young people with limited social access. Our efforts include facilitating access to important information and resources, promoting the social inclusion of disadvantaged youth, and fostering greater interaction and integration among local, national, and international communities. We also aim to enhance cultural diversity, encourage intercultural learning, support the personal development of youth, and raise awareness about the negative effects of climate change on young individuals.

To support these aims, we engage in various activities. We conduct research to refine and advance our programs and organize a range of training events such as courses, seminars, and panels to provide essential learning experiences. We also focus on fundraising and accept donations, with proper permissions, to sustain our initiatives. Our work includes creating social and cultural facilities, such as clubs and spaces for members to engage in activities, and organizing events like picnics and excursions to build and strengthen relationships among participants. Through these efforts, our goal is to create a supportive and enriching environment where young people can thrive and realize their full potential.
