The Volunteer Center Cluj-Napoca (CVCN) is a Romanian non-governmental organisation established in 2004 with the mission of empowering people and communities through volunteering, non-formal education and active participation. For more than two decades, CVCN has developed local, national and international programmes that promote personal development, civic engagement, social inclusion and lifelong learning. The organisation has extensive experience in Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps, coordinating projects that involve volunteers, educators, youth workers, adult learning professionals, community leaders and organisations. Its activities include training, mentoring, consultancy, international mobility, partnership building and the development of practical educational resources. CVCN has strong expertise in non-formal education, volunteering, service-learning, inclusion and diversity, community development, digital learning and organisational capacity building. Its methods are participatory, experiential and adapted to real community needs. Since 2004, CVCN has involved more than 6,000 volunteers in local projects and 321 volunteers in international projects. It has supported 140 beneficiary organisations, delivered over 1,150 hours of training and consultancy, and organised more than 190 public events. Through long-term partnerships with NGOs, public institutions, schools, universities, local authorities and European networks, CVCN contributes to stronger organisations and more connected communities. Its work encourages initiative, collaboration, critical thinking and active citizenship, helping people become confident contributors to their communities at local, national and European levels.
