Acerca de la organización

Europinion is a UK-based independent social enterprise and media collective working to strengthen democratic resilience, media literacy and informed public dialogue. Our work brings together opinion journalism, research, policy engagement and practical educational initiatives, with a particular focus on how young people navigate increasingly complex and polarised information environments.

At the centre of Europinion’s work is a youth-centred approach to media literacy. We seek to equip young people with the critical skills and confidence needed to identify manipulation, evaluate information and participate fully in civic life. Rather than treating young people as passive recipients of institutional messaging, our approach emphasises participation, co-creation and lived experience.

Our flagship peer-reviewed report, Navigating the Information Disorder: European Youth in the Age of Digital Disinformation, draws on field engagement, youth testimony and policy analysis across multiple EU member states. Its findings and recommendations have informed our engagement with policymakers, including an intervention before the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education and discussions with the European Parliament’s Special Committee on the European Democracy Shield.

Europinion also develops and delivers participatory activities for young people. Our Depolarising Journalism workshops at the European Youth Events in Berlin and Forlì explored political journalism, polarisation, misinformation and constructive public debate. Alongside this work, the Europinion Institute for Research produces policy-focused research designed to connect academic expertise, public debate and implementable recommendations.

Across our activities, we aim to build partnerships with youth organisations, educators, researchers, civil society and European institutions to develop locally grounded, scalable approaches to media literacy and civic empowerment.
