I-STEP member INDEED Projects has launched EcoEscape with its Latvian partner, a project that will turn sustainability and the circular economy into a digital escape game for young people.
EcoEscape is under way. INDEED Projects and our Latvian partner, the Latvian Sustainable Procurement Association (LIIA), met in Riga in April to kick off EcoEscape, an Erasmus+ project in which we will create a digital escape game on sustainability, the circular economy and greenwashing for young people aged 13 to 25.
Learning by playing
In EcoEscape we believe in learning by playing: young people gain critical thinking and practical knowledge through an interactive game that they co-design themselves.
First step: listening to young people and professionals
We are now in the research phase in Spain and Latvia. We are looking at the needs of young people and of the professionals who work with them, through a survey of young people in both countries and a review of how municipalities approach environmental education, so that the game fits the educational needs of each context.
The game will be available in Spanish, English and Latvian. You can also read the announcement by our Latvian partners (in Latvian).
