Zavod Nefiks is a leading Slovenian youth Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) dedicated to assisting young people and youth organizations in showcasing, recording, and promoting non-formal skills and competencies
. For over 20 years, the institute's core mission has been to foster youth career development, employment literacy, active citizenship, and to provide comprehensive support to other NGOs and youth organizations
. Nefiks operates under four core principles: active participation, taking responsibility, teamwork, and lifelong career guidance.
Key Activities and Projects
e-Nefiks Platform: A custom-developed online portfolio and electronic record book system that enables young people to log and showcase their work experience, volunteer achievements, international mobilities, and employer recommendations
. This tool guides users in presenting their non-formal learning to potential employers, significantly raising their employment prospects.
"Kolegice" (Colleagues): A specialized empowerment and mentoring program for young women transitioning into the labor market. It connects them with successful, influential female mentors to share professional experiences and expand their career networks.
Youth Center Vič (MC Vič): Operated in cooperation with Antonov dom, this center provides a safe physical and digital space for over 130 children and youth weekly. It offers non-formal educational activities, peer tutoring, workshops, and sports.
Mreža KROJ: The Slovenian national youth network for career development, coordinated by Nefiks
. The network trains youth workers and designs structured career orientation opportunities for young people.
Stičišče Središče: A regional support hub for civil society, offering organizational, legal, informational, and advocacy support to NGOs in the Osrednjeslovenska region.
