Association Citoyen De Rue (CDR)

À propos de l'organisation

Association Citoyen de Rue is a civil society organisation committed to promoting active citizenship, youth participation, social cohesion and local development. Through its various programmes, the association works to build young people's capacities and to support them in becoming engaged and responsible actors in their communities.

The association carries out awareness-raising, training, mobilisation and advocacy activities on topics related to civic participation, transparency, accountability, rights and youth engagement. It also encourages dialogue between young people, civil society and local and institutional stakeholders.

Drawing on its experience and its local roots, the association has built many partnerships at national and international level, notably with the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), DAPP, Dignity, USAID and Oxfam, as well as with other civil society actors and institutional partners. These collaborations help to extend the reach and impact of its initiatives.

The association also runs a community radio station, an important tool for outreach, information, awareness-raising and civic participation. Through this medium it gives young people and communities a space for expression, highlights local initiatives and helps to share information of public interest.

Through all its activities and partnerships, Association Citoyen de Rue works to build more inclusive, participatory and resilient communities, placing young people at the heart of social change.
