À propos de l'organisation
APPJuventude (APPJUVENTUDE - Associação Portuguesa de Profissionais de Juventude) is a Portuguese non-profit professional association, founded in 2018 and based in Viseu. It represents 100 individual members and works to strengthen youth work, professional recognition and the quality of youth policies.
We support youth workers, municipalities, intermunicipal bodies, youth organisations and young people through training, non-formal education, participatory methods, policy advice, research and digital tools. Our activities include support for youth worker qualifications with Centro Qualifica de Soure; national workshops, forums and webinars; municipal youth policy mapping; and youth consultations and project development with the Municipality of Porto.
We coordinated the Erasmus+ project The Future of Youth Work'ers, which developed comparative research and the TOP Youth Workers training model. As a partner in Youth Monitor, coordinated by the Porto Metropolitan Area, we contributed to evidence-based youth policies across its 17 municipalities. Our cooperation also includes AGENTS and European initiatives on professional recognition, online learning and impact assessment.
Through CRJ+, we support intermunicipal youth participation and cooperation across ten Portuguese territories. Our work connects young people, practitioners and decision-makers, with attention to inclusion, accessibility, democratic participation and practical follow-up.
Our Youth Friendly approach helps municipalities improve services and experiences from young people's perspective. We welcome European cooperation in training design, participatory methods, applied research, digital tools and local pilots, drawing on our links with youth work professionals and municipalities in Portugal.
