Employability

Employability is about connecting what people learn with real access to work, enterprise and a place in their community.

Employability is about connecting what people learn with real access to work, enterprise and a place in their community.

What we do here

Learning only changes a life if it leads somewhere. The Employability group works with people at risk of being shut out of the labour market, and builds the bridge between a course or activity and a sustainable job.

We design mentoring systems, career-guidance methods, entrepreneurship support and ways to validate competences that employers recognise. Each one is adapted to the people who need it, rather than copied from a generic template.

The group draws on Skills, which makes competences visible, and on Inclusion, which keeps the focus on people who are usually overlooked.
