About the organisation
Our activities span nine interconnected fields: democracy and good governance; active citizenship; culture and the arts; education and employment; social entrepreneurship; health and wellbeing; environment and sustainability; and both long-term and short-term volunteering. Rather than treating these as separate programmes, we approach them as overlapping dimensions of a young person's development a volunteer placement builds employability, an arts project opens a conversation about civic participation, an environmental initiative becomes a lesson in collective decision-making. We deliver this work through non-formal education methods: youth exchanges, training courses, workshops, local campaigns, mentoring, and volunteering placements. Our methodology is participatory throughout — young people are involved in designing, running, and evaluating what we do, not simply attending it. Med-Forum SD Morocco is one of Morocco's leading youth organisations working to strengthen the position of young people in society, promote civic engagement, democratisation and human rights, and create spaces where young people are involved, valued, respected, and able to develop their full potential. We work with young people from a range of backgrounds, with particular attention to those facing geographic, economic, educational, or social obstacles to participation. Nationally, we cooperate with schools, universities, local authorities, and civil society organisations across Morocco. Internationally, we partner with youth organisations across Europe and the Mediterranean, and take part in Erasmus+ and other European youth programmes as both a hosting and sending organisation. Our vision is a Morocco in which every young person has the confidence, skills, and opportunity to participate fully in public life and to drive positive change in their community.
