Membership conditions
Conditions governing admission, participation, communications, withdrawal and termination of I-STEP Network membership.
Membership is subject to approval by the I-STEP Network Board. Admission is not automatic. The Board assesses whether the applicant organisation's work, conduct and values are aligned with the mission, values and areas of activity of the network.
Membership is free of charge and continues until the member organisation requests its withdrawal or until I-STEP Network determines that the organisation no longer meets the conditions of membership.
Member organisations are expected to provide accurate information, respect the values and reputation of the network, and update their organisational profile when relevant changes occur.
The principal contact of an approved organisation will be included in the I-STEP Members communications system. These communications are limited to information relevant to membership and participation in the network, including network news, opportunities, events, projects, resources, consultations and governance matters.
Recipients may stop receiving non-essential member bulletins without affecting the organisation's membership. Essential administrative, legal and governance communications relating to membership may continue to be sent separately.
I-STEP Network reserves the right to modify, suspend, reactivate or terminate the membership status of an organisation. Decisions concerning admission and membership status are made by the Board in accordance with the interests, values and proper functioning of the network.
Withdrawal or termination of membership removes the organisation from the public member directory and map and from the active I-STEP Members communication list. I-STEP Network may retain an appropriate administrative record where necessary for governance, accountability or legal purposes.
