About the organisation

Center for Tourism, Training and Research Skopje is a youth non-governmental association founded by five young people with different backgrounds in volunteering, youth work, non-formal education, and international learning experiences. The members came together around a common goal and created the organisation with a strong focus on social inclusion and work with marginalised people.

The mission of the association is to train social experts and practitioners, encourage research in the field of social policies, and build networks and partnerships at local, national, and international level. Through its activities, the organisation aims to inspire and empower young people, especially those from marginalised backgrounds, to find their inner self, develop their full potential, and achieve inner joy and long-term well-being.

The vision of the organisation is to become a centre for quality study of social policies and high-quality interdisciplinary research, contributing to the sustainable development of a multicultural and inclusive society.

The strategic goals of the Center for Tourism, Training and Research are:
1. To initiate, support, and implement research and projects from various interdisciplinary perspectives in order to contribute to effective local, national, and international policies, with a particular focus on green tourism and the inclusion of marginalised groups.
2. To raise the level of community awareness by integrating social issues and the challenges faced by marginalised people into everyday public discourse.
3. To implement field-based programmes, activities, and services in the community that directly address social issues and support marginalised people.
4. To cooperate with local self-government units, non-governmental organisations, and other relevant stakeholders at local and national level in order to strengthen social inclusion, participation, and sustainable community development.
