This Erasmus+ project uses storytelling to build intercultural competence and challenge stereotypes. Thirty-six young people aged 18 to 25 learn to use narrative as a tool for exploring cultures, confronting bias and communicating across difference.
Why this project
Young people increasingly live and work in multicultural settings, but stereotypes, prejudice and discrimination continue to limit genuine exchange.
Objectives
Build intercultural competences for communication and collaboration across cultures. Challenge stereotypes, prejudice and discriminatory attitudes. Introduce storytelling as a tool for personal and professional development. Strengthen digital and creative communication skills.
Activities
A youth exchange bringing together 36 young people from five countries. Storytelling workshops exploring culture, bias and self-awareness. Creative and digital production activities. Intercultural evenings and community dissemination.
Expected results
These are the results the project set out to produce. They are commitments made in the application, not outcomes already achieved. 36 young people equipped to interact effectively across cultural backgrounds. Storytelling skills applied to combating stereotypes and building empathy. Creative outputs produced and shared by participants. A measurable reduction in discriminatory attitudes among participants.
Who it is for
Young people aged 18 to 25, including participants with fewer opportunities; minorities, refugees and asylum seekers as focus communities.
